About us Innovations in Optics, Inc. is a business leader in LED technology in Woburn, MA. We are agile, innovative and at the frontline of developing technologies. Our goal is to align green energy development with high power LED solutions for global OEM customers. Our innovative products power a wide range of applications in industrial, biomedical, and microelectronics markets. With our recent expansion into a new Woburn facility, we are growing rapidly and seeking motivated individuals to join our team!

Modern office setting Growth opportunities We are looking for a versatile, multi-talented, professional ready to excel in a dynamic engineering environment! In this role you'll wear many hats, managing crucial tasks with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate and sustain vendor relationships.
  • Conduct market research to identify suppliers and negotiate prices and contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Coordinate production planning activities to meet customer demand.
  • Create and issue Manufacturing Work Orders, Customer Invoices and Purchase Orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in supply chain management.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Buyer/Planner or in a similar role for 3+ years
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and practices
  • Familiarity with supply chain management concepts and procedures
  • Excellent negotiation, problem solving and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), MRP software
  • Experience with entering Customer Deposits and Accounts Payables
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks and/or MiSYS is a plus
