Summary:
Nation's Home Medical Equipment is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Buyer specializing in Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to join our procurement team, reporting to our Inventory Manager. The Buyer supports the procurement process by assisting with purchasing durable medical equipment (DME) and supplies, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams. This role ensures timely and efficient purchasing operations while maintaining compliance with company policies.Key Duties Purchase Order Processing & Documentation:
Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders. Verify order details, pricing, and vendor terms before submitting for approval. Track orders and follow up on delivery status with vendors. Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and receipts.Inventory & Stock Support:
Monitor inventory levels and notify the Procurement Agent when stock replenishment is needed. Assist in reconciling inventory discrepancies between orders and stock records. Help conduct periodic stock counts and ensure proper documentation of inventory adjustments.Vendor Coordination:
Communicate with vendors to confirm order details, resolve discrepancies, and address any supply issues. Assist in gathering vendor quotes and comparing pricing for cost-effective purchasing decisions. Maintain an organized database of vendor contacts and agreements.Administrative & Cross-Department Support:
Work closely with the Inventory Coordinator and warehouse team to ensure stock accuracy. Provide purchasing reports and updates to the Procurement Agent. Support general administrative tasks related to procurement and inventory control. Requirements/Qualifications High School Diploma required; relevant college coursework and/or degree strongly preferred At least 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or administrative support (preferably in a DME, healthcare, or logistics environment). Basic understanding of purchasing and inventory control principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn inventory management software. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills Ability to work in a warehouse setting Ability to work at a desk, using a computer and phone regularlyPay:
