Job Description

JSG is hiring a Raw Materials Specialist for our client in Madawaska, ME!
Job Duties:
Actively supports and promotes safe work practices throughout the mill by being present at safety activities and personally encouraging safe behaviors. Keeps abreast of modern purchasing practices and techniques and directs staff in the development of modern purchasing and inventory management techniques. Assist with contracts and purchase agreements. Manages bulk raw material inventories and orders accordingly. Manages material flow to ensure inventory is maintained at the optimum level to support on time customer deliveries while keeping inventory holdings at the appropriate levels. Actively participate in month end closing as well as yearend. Coordinate with transportation department for pick-ups. Responsible for IQ Invoicing and verifying accurate billing. Communicate with operators in the color prep and beater rooms. Helps with the development of the annual budget, tracks performance, identify and implement opportunities to improve cost performance. Attends and supports the daily mill production meeting and participates in other meetings such as safety, contractor performance, business review, project scheduling, budget review and staff meetings as required.
