Position Summary:
This position will be directly working with customers/ suppliers to plan and manage inventory stocking levels to meet their specific requirements via their inventory management system. This is a customer service / supplier focused position and will require professionalism, attention to detail and often creative problem resolution. The ideal candidate for this role will be an organized, digitally savvy communicator eager to learn about a variety of programs and platforms while developing and maintaining relationships. .
Essential Responsibilities:
Daily communication via email, Teams/Zoom, and phone with customers / Suppliers
  • Communication with China a. Weekly
  • WeChat; audio and messenger b. Weekly
  • call with China team Data and order entry with a high level of detail (back up for day-to-day tasks during vacations) SAP, Microsoft Access, Excel and OA systems Work closely with department heads for customer resolution Willingness to accept after hour calls from customers and/or China/Headquarters Plan and order inventory for customers & Production Review MRP and creating purchase orders for specific commodities Reviewing rescheduling messages to determine is adjustments should be made Track shipments for accurate timelines Creative thinking when shortages or short lead times arise and ability to do whatever it takes to ensure the customer is happy Updating SAP with purchase price changes, maintain Vendor records and submitting in OA Managing steel commodities Purchasing powder and maintaining the powder inventory sheet used for purchasing Planner / Scheduling responsibilities with creating work orders for some customers and component items Month end inventory, gathering counts from departments, review discrepancies and adjusting inventory Bi-Weekly Production scrap report, maintain and update Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma Valid Drivers License 3-years previous customer experience (preferred) 3-years SAP experience (preferred) Exceptional verbal and written skills Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Excel Spreadsheets Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency in CAD and CAM software. Knowledge of machining and assembly practices. Familiarity with SAP preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills. Experience working with vendors and customers.
