Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join the procurement team. This role is responsible for procuring materials, monitoring supply flow, and ensuring production needs are consistently met. The Buyer will work closely with engineering, production, suppliers, and global procurement teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, support quality standards, and drive cost-effective sourcing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Procure materials in alignment with engineering and production schedules to maintain planned inventory levels Monitor supplier performance, including cost, delivery schedules, and quality standards Manage daily procurement activities including New Buy, Late Orders, and Kanban reporting Support development and execution of annual sourcing strategies (supplier qualification, RFQs, renegotiations, cost savings initiatives) Implement and maintain internal and external Kanban systems; train and onboard suppliers Create and manage Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) agreements Collaborate with suppliers, inspectors, and engineers to resolve quality issues and non-conformances Partner with Global Procurement teams on supplier optimization and cost reduction initiatives Process indirect purchasing and purchase requisitions Analyze Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and communicate cost impacts Maintain accurate part data and updates in Oracle ERP systems Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen events) Support supplier scorecards, corrective action plans, and performance audits, including supplier visits Assist with inventory audits, safety audits, and month-end reconciliations Resolve receiving, inspection, and accounts payable discrepancies Reconcile corporate purchasing card (P-card) transactions using

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field 1-3 years of procurement or supply chain experience Strong ability to analyze bills of materials for cost and lead time accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and

Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications:

APICS, CPSM, or related supply chain certifications Experience with Kanban systems and lean manufacturing principles

Work Environment:

This role requires collaboration across engineering, production, quality, and procurement teams. Regular interaction with suppliers is required, including occasional site visits and participation in cross-functional meetings.
