Job Description

Position Summary:
Buyer is responsible to order parts to meet customer requirements with best price and best delivery terms while evaluating changing order points and quantities, make disposition of questionable receipts of parts and search for and negotiate with new sources of parts supply.
Essential Functions:
Determine the best source that provides the best fit of quality, utility, price, and delivery. Assist other Stiles' departments with sourcing and purchasing of required items. Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company. Establish spare part records and place timely replenishment orders to maintain required stock levels. Review order points and ordering quantities when there is order activity to meet company goals. Follow established purchase order procedures, challenge cost differences with manufacturers and resolve stock and inventory problems. Communicate with vendors for order follow-up and order expediting to produce desired results. Track urgent orders once they leave the factory, update delivery times on purchase orders and work with vendor to improve on long delivery dates. Communicate effectively with internal customers, and suppliers. Build relationships with key suppliers. Perform other parts procurement duties as required. Travel to suppliers as needed to negotiate pricing and inspect operations.
Qualifications:
High School diploma, or relevant purchasing experience
Skills and Abilities:
Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word) Effective communication skills, ability to network, and problem solve Organizational skills and ability to multitask SAP and Salesforce experience is preferred
