Purchasing Analyst

•This role is 100% onsite• MMI Engineered Solutions is seeking an experienced Purchasing Analyst to support our Operations team. This role is responsible for managing purchasing and procurement activities for production materials and MRO supplies, while working closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, competitive pricing, and strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

Manage the RFQ process to secure competitive bids and best pricing for goods and services Issue and maintain purchase orders to support production schedules and inventory levels Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery Assist with demand planning, inventory management, and forecasting within the MRP system Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers to support business needs Maintain supplier relationships and address quality, delivery, or invoice discrepancies Analyze purchasing data, inventory trends, lead times, and cost-saving opportunities Support continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing, planning, scheduling, and shipping Track purchasing activity and supplier performance metrics Assist in maintaining inventory item master data including MOQ, lead times, and safety stock levels

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 5-10 years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment Experience working within an IATF16949-certified facility preferred Experience with strategic sourcing and international suppliers is a plus Background purchasing plastic raw materials, components, or hardware preferred Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills Ability to work cross-functionally within Operations and Manufacturing teams Experience with MRP/ERP systems

Work EnvironmentExpectations:
