Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain / Production Planning Specialist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the procurement of materials, developing production schedules, and maintaining efficient supply chain operations to meet customer demands. Your expertise will help optimize inventory levels, improve vendor relationships, and ensure timely delivery of products. The ideal candidate will have strong planning skills, experience with ERP systems, and a proven ability to adapt schedules based on changing priorities. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to operational excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Process customer orders and review product requirements. Maintain part numbers in ERP system. Oversee purchase of materials, components, and supplies required for cover production, including fabrics, and auxiliary materials. Develop and maintain vendor relationships; evaluate suppliers on cost, quality, lead time, and reliability. Improve and maintain the master production schedules, balancing customer demand, material availability, and production capacity. Adjust schedules proactively in response to material shortages or customer priority shifts. Develop and document standard operating procedures for purchasing and scheduling functions. Miscellaneous assigned duties assign by Management. Qualifications Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong planning and organizational skills 2 year degree with 3 years experience procurement/purchasing and scheduling production in a manufacturing environment Bonus Skills 4 year degree Military/Government contracting experience
