Ability to work in office and production environment. Responsibilities ELANTAS North America Inc is eager to add a Procurement Specialist to the team. This procurement expert will be responsible for managing both day‑to‑day purchasing activities and strategic material categories that are critical to plant operations and overall business performance. This role splits responsibility between operational execution (50%) and long‑term strategic sourcing and supply chain development (50%). The ideal candidate will ensure reliable material availability, drive cost savings, strengthen supplier relationships, and build a resilient, low‑cost supply chain aligned with company goals. Operational Procurement (50%) Execute daily purchasing activities, including PO creation, confirmations, shipment tracking, and delivery coordination. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with planning/warehouse teams to prevent stockouts or overstock conditions. Resolve order discrepancies related to quantity, pricing, lead time, or quality issues. Maintain accurate purchasing data in ERP systems, including pricing, lead times, and supplier information. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, audit requirements, and internal controls Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, planning, quality, finance) to support uninterrupted plant operations. Strategic Materials Management (50%) Lead sourcing activities for key raw materials and indirect categories that impact cost, quality, and supply reliability. Develop category strategies focused on supply security, cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and long‑term value creation. Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to diversify the supply base and mitigate risk. Conduct market intelligence on commodities, supply/demand trends, and global capacity shifts to guide sourcing decisions. Analyze total cost of ownership (TCO) and negotiate long‑term agreements to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability, continuous improvement and cost savings Partner with R D, operations, and quality teams on material changes, supplier transitions, and innovation opportunities.
