Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to manage procurement activities within our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will oversee sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials and services, ensuring timely delivery and optimal inventory levels. The Purchasing Agent will play a key role in supporting production planning, inventory control, and logistics to maintain seamless operations across departments.
Responsibilities Supplier Management :
Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery time. Maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply chains.
Procurement Process :
Manage the purchasing process from requisition to order placement, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Order Tracking :
Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues related to shipments or product quality.
Documentation :
Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.
Experience Education :
A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred, but not required.
Experience :
Previous experience in purchasing or procurement is advantageous.
Analytical Skills :
Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
Communication Skills :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers and internal teams.
Technical Proficiency :
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
ERP System :
Experience with Infor Powerlink ERP is a plus.
