Job Overview Construction Purchasing Agent Carolina Conduit Systems (CCS) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Purchasing Agent to support our growing operations team. This position is responsible for sourcing construction materials, obtaining vendor and subcontractor pricing, negotiating costs, and issuing purchase orders and subcontract agreements for active construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction procurement, vendor management, and subcontractor coordination, along with strong organizational and negotiation skills Duties Collect and evaluate vendor quotes for construction materials and equipment Obtain subcontractor pricing and proposals Review material submittals and project specifications for compliance Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors and subcontractors Issue purchase orders to suppliers and vendors Prepare and issue subcontract agreements and contracts Coordinate with project managers to support project schedules and budgets Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors Track material lead times and assist with procurement scheduling Requirements 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or construction experience preferred Knowledge of construction materials and subcontracting processes Strong negotiation and communication skills Ability to read construction specifications and submittals Highly organized with strong attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office and purchasing software Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off Career growth opportunities Supportive team environment Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday Work Location In person —
