Job Description
Overview C. M. Mitchell Construction is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Shop Coordinator & Parts Procurement professional to support shop operational needs. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily activities within the shop, coordinating timely maintenance and repairs, and efficiently sourcing necessary parts and supplies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting our team of mechanics, equipment operators, project managers, and management. Responsibilities Coordinate the daily activities and operational needs of the shop to ensure smooth workflow in the shop and out in the field. Collaborate closely with mechanics, equipment operators, project managers, and management to identify equipment repair and maintenance requirements. Research, source, and purchase parts, supplies, and materials needed for equipment repairs and shop operations. Maintain organized records of procurement activities, inventory levels, and supplier contacts. Scheduling maintenance activities and tracking repairs Maintain accurate records in our Asset Management System Ensure timely delivery of parts and supplies as well as repairs and servicing to minimize downtime and keep field operations running smoothly. Support safety protocols within the shop environment to promote a safe working space for all team members. Requirements Proven experience in shop coordination or parts procurement within construction or related industries is preferred. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and suppliers. Ability to research and source parts efficiently while managing multiple priorities. Basic knowledge of construction equipment and maintenance processes is advantageous. Proficiency in using inventory management software or procurement tools is a plus. Dependability with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task completion.
