Job Description

Our client is looking for a Buyer Planner to join a cutting-edge manufacturer specializing in military battery equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at a state-of-the-art facility where you will be pivotal in assembling advanced military products. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing essential materials to support two key business lines: Advance Capabilities and Power & Data Systems. In this role, you will handle procurement strategies, negotiate with suppliers, coordinate with production and quality teams, and ensure a seamless supply chain. Your day-to-day tasks will include maintaining inventory levels, evaluating supplier performance, utilizing ERP systems for procurement activities, and developing contingency plans to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with supply chain management, procurement processes, and vendor negotiations within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of inventory control, demand forecasting, and compliance standards is essential.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
Experience with procurement in a manufacturing or military supply environment Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management tools Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management Ability to analyze supply chain risks and develop contingency plans Excellent collaboration skills with production, quality, and operations teams Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards in procurement activities Think you know someone who'd be perfect for this role?
