Job Description
Our client is a well-established Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider supporting customers in regulated, high-reliability industries such as aerospace, defense, and industrial electronics. They are known for a hands-on, collaborative culture and a regional supply chain model focused on quality, responsiveness, and on-time delivery. This Senior Buyer role plays a critical part in supporting production and supplier performance. The position works closely with manufacturing, engineering, program management, and quality to ensure materials are available, suppliers are performing, and production stays on track. It's a hands-on role with direct impact on day-to-day operations and overall manufacturing success. Job Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement activities to ensure materials, components, and supplies support production schedules and quality requirements Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders based on MRP signals, forecasts, and production needs Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, quality, logistics, and program management to resolve material issues and prevent supply disruptions Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers; support supplier development initiatives as neededTrack supplier performance and address quality, delivery, or service issues Prepare and maintain purchasing reports, sharing key metrics and insights with leadership Stay current on market trends, supply risks, and industry developments to support sourcing strategies Qualifications & Experience 6+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environmentExperience supporting electronics manufacturing (PCBA, PCB, or box build preferred) Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to manage supplier relationships and contracts Hands-on experience working with ERP/MRP systems and inventory-driven purchasing Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, production-focused environment Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Experience working in regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environments is a plus What's in It for You Competitive compensation Comprehensive medical and dental coverage Retirement plan with company matching Paid time off and paid holidays Opportunity to work closely with manufacturing and have a visible impact on operations
