The Junior Design Procurement Specialist is responsible for handling the procurement of design materials and finishes of all goods and services through appropriate bidding processes to achieve optimum price value while maintaining superior quality for our portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Assist the EVP of Design and Development on all projects from concept phase through delivery and installation. Assist in the day-to-day purchasing of materials, ensuring we get the best price possible. Collaborate with Design and Development teams to maintain design aesthetics for residential interiors that are both functional and appealing. Assist in selection and specification of furnishings, finishes, and materials for lobbies, communal areas, and apartments. Work closely with project managers to meet design goals while staying within budget. Find and QC new potential vendors for value engineering. Ensure the design reflects the building's character and targets the local market's tastes in both New York and Miami.
Requirements:
3 - 5 years working on high-end, multi-family residential and commercial projects. Strong understanding of contemporary residential design trends, especially for high-end and luxury buildings. Proficiency in materials selection for both aesthetics and practical use. The ability to shop for and specify high-quality materials, furnishings, and decor to suit the design concept for residential and communal areas in multi-family properties. Sales experience or knowledge of sales techniques is a plus. Ability to multitask and prioritize projects effectively. Bilingual in Chinese is a plus.
