This position is responsible for receiving, organizing, tracking, and distributing the materials, hardware, tools, and supplies used for glass, window, door, and screen projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with both computer systems and physical inventory, and able to communicate effectively with technicians, shop employees, vendors, and management. Experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who is organized, reliable, and eager to learn. Responsibilities Receive and inspect incoming materials, products, tools, and supplies. Verify deliveries against purchase orders, packing slips, and vendor documentation. Identify and report damaged, missing, incorrect, or backordered items. Label, organize, and store inventory in the proper locations. Maintain accurate inventory counts and update records in company systems. Perform regular cycle counts and assist with complete physical inventories. Track commonly used materials and alert management when stock reaches minimum levels. Prepare and stage materials for scheduled field jobs and shop production. Coordinate with dispatch, technicians, and shop employees to ensure required materials are available. Issue and track tools, equipment, hardware, and supplies assigned to employees or company vehicles. Assist with maintaining vehicle inventory and standard truck-stock levels. Review returned materials and determine whether they should be restocked, returned to the vendor, or reported as damaged. Maintain accurate records for special-order and customer-specific materials. Communicate with vendors regarding deliveries, discrepancies, returns, and backorders. Keep inventory, receiving, and storage areas clean, organized, and safe. Assist with pick-ups, deliveries, and other operational needs when required. Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, organization, and material flow. Qualifications Previous inventory, warehouse, purchasing, receiving, or materials-coordination experience is required. Experienced in Glass, Glaizing, and Window Installation preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer, email, and data-entry skills. Ability to learn inventory-management and job-management software. Comfortable working with part numbers, measurements, quantities, and product descriptions. Ability to communicate clearly with employees, managers, and vendors. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn about glass, windows, screens, doors, hardware, and related materials. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record may be required. Forklift or material-handling experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday. Ability to safely lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in warehouse, shop, and outdoor loading areas. Ability to safely handle glass-related materials and other fragile products after receiving proper training. Ability to operate carts, dollies, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
