Job Description:
This role focuses on supporting procurement activities for engineered components in a capital equipment manufacturing environment, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and delivery goals. It involves close collaboration with project teams, suppliers, and design groups to resolve issues and maintain project timelines. The position requires applying mechanical engineering knowledge to interpret technical drawings, ensure compliance with industry codes, and manage supplier performance. Additionally, the role drives cost optimization, supplier negotiations, and continuous process improvements while maintaining strong communication and coordination across stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
Manage procurement processes including sourcing, quoting, purchase orders, and supplier coordination. Monitor supplier performance, handle non-conformance issues, and ensure timely delivery of materials. Support project execution through schedule management, reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience with a strong background in capital equipment manufacturing. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and familiarity with industry standards such as ASME and PED. Strong negotiation, communication, and ERP system skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
