Job Summary:
The Purchasing Assistant - Acts in a support role to all the purchasing functions of Government purchasing team. This may include placing purchase orders, open order expediting, completing RFQ s, sourcing activities, entering vendor claims, assisting with quality rejections and billing discrepancies expediting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the purchase & expedite of department needs Negotiate pricing and lead time Assist in resolving quality issues internally and externally Assist with vendor billing discrepancies Assist in sourcing alternative suppliers Assist with receiving discrepancies Gather data on incoming material to communicate internally Organization and departmental data collection to drive department success
Qualifications:
Associate s or Bachelor s degree in related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree Experience in or knowledge of Purchasing preferred
Skills and Abilities:
