Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to lead our procurement operations and to provide a wide range of support to our industrial parks division in all aspects of procurement, quality assurance, inventory and administrative duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Procurement & Vendor Management Oversee all procurement activities, including purchasing, inventory control, issuance of purchase orders, re-sale certificates, and coordination of special-order materials and equipment.
Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, quality, and service levels. Establish new vendor accounts, negotiate credit terms, and manage supplier onboarding processes. Assist with the preparation of project estimates, bid documentation, contracts, and procurement-related reporting as needed. Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to ensure the timely availability of materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Tool Room & Asset Management Oversee the operation and organization of tool inventory, ensuring adequate inventory to meet departmental needs.
Maintain accurate records of tools, equipment, and assets, including tracking issuance, returns, and replacements. Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections to ensure tools and equipment remain in safe and operational conditions. Evaluate departmental equipment needs and make recommendations for purchases and replacements. Other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma required
  • NYS issued driver's license, reliable vehicle & ability to navigate independently
  • 3-5 years of procurement experience
  • General construction background/knowledge preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, decision making ability, and attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as Microsoft office applications
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage multiple simultaneous assignments and projects
Pay:
$28.00 - $30.00 per hour
