Purchasing Associate

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing Associate to join our procurement team. In this vital role, you will drive the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing processes to ensure the timely acquisition of materials, products, and services essential for our operations. Duties Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to identify procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies. Utilize Quickbooks & Salesforce to tract purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage procurement documentation. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value while maintaining quality standards. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics teams to ensure optimal inventory management and control. Support production planning by aligning procurement activities with manufacturing schedules and demand forecasts. Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and stay informed about industry trends in materials management and supply chain practices. Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, supplier performance, and contract compliance. Requirements Proven experience with Qucikboos, Salesfore or similar platforms. Strong understanding of materials management, inventory control, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and supply chain processes. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to develop mutually beneficial supplier relationships. Knowledge of procurement procedures including sourcing strategies, contracts management, and logistics coordination. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and pricing strategies to support effective purchasing decisions. Ability to analyze data related to inventory levels, production planning, and merchandising to optimize supply chain operations. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and recordkeeping.
