Job Description
Pipeline Packaging, an employee-owned company, is a leading industrial rigid packaging distributor in the United States seeking an enthusiastic, responsible and customer oriented individual that has a positive attitude and shares the values of our company culture which is built around teamwork, family, honest communication and producing desirable results for our Hudson, OH corporate office. Job Overview As the primary contact for your assigned suppliers, you will be responsible for executing the day-to-day buying activities and onboarding new products in coordination with Sourcing, Inventory Planning, Regional Purchasing Managers, and Customer Service. Duties and Responsibilities Process purchase orders to replenish stock in a timely and accurate manner to ensure a high fill rate for our customers. Monitor, communicate, and follow up as necessary on late orders from your suppliers. Timely communication to sales and customer service for any back orders or late deliveries affecting our customers. Investigate and resolve invoice and receiving issues in a timely manner. Arrange freight for both domestic and global product shipments. Work closely with suppliers and Quality Department to resolve quality issues quickly. Process return to vendor claims as necessary. Ensure accuracy of item information including costs, lead times, and reorder points. Build relationships and increase product knowledge through supplier visits, plant tours, and attending industry events. Develop and implement cost savings activities.
