Job Description

Buyer Solvita 2900 College Dr (Show on map) Jun 10, 2026 About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to support purchasing, sourcing, and supply management activities for production projects. In this role, you will partner with project managers and internal stakeholders to ensure materials, supplies, and services are sourced efficiently, delivered on time, and aligned with quality and regulatory requirements. This position also supports documentation management, supplier communication, and continuous improvement efforts across assigned spend categories. Key Responsibilities Prepare and issue purchase orders and requests for proposals for assigned materials, supplies, and services based on production needs and project requirements. Monitor supplier pricing, confirm order accuracy, and expedite deliveries to support on-time production schedules. Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders regarding delays, shortages, or supply issues and help resolve discrepancies quickly. Build and maintain effective supplier relationships to support quality, delivery, and cost expectations. Identify and support cost-reduction and continuous improvement opportunities within assigned spend categories. Maintain purchasing documentation and support compliance with quality management system requirements, internal procedures, and applicable regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in planning, purchasing, or supply support within a manufacturing environment; experience in other industries may also be considered. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, follow direction, and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail. Work Environment This role requires the ability to meet the physical demands of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience as a Buyer or Supply Planner in the medical device or healthcare industry preferred. Experience working with an ERP system preferred. Knowledge of
ISO 13485, ISO
9000, or other regulated quality environments preferred. Demonstrated ability to negotiate supplier agreements or contracts. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, technical procedures, drawings, and specifications.
