In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers to ensure the timely acquisition of quality materials and services. Your expertise will support our supply chain operations, optimize procurement processes, and contribute to cost savings and efficiency improvements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of procurement management, contract negotiation, and supply chain dynamics, with proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS. Duties Develop sourcing strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on cost efficiency, quality, and delivery performance. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities. Manage supplier relationships through regular communication, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable conditions while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations. Utilize ERP systems like SAP and Oracle EBS to process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and track procurement activities. Perform root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or quality issues to implement corrective actions. Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, and quality management teams to coordinate procurement activities supporting production planning. Monitor supplier performance metrics and develop category management strategies for different procurement segments. Support procurement documentation processes including contracts, amendments, and compliance records. Conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new sourcing opportunities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
(required levels) Associate's degree preferred or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in related industry. Proven experience in procurement or sourcing roles within manufacturing or supply chain environments. Extensive knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS for procurement management. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing advantageous contract terms. Familiarity with contract management principles and federal acquisition regulations. Experience in category management, materials management, and production planning processes. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively. Excellent communication skills for engaging with suppliers and cross-functional teams globally. Knowledge of logistics, pricing strategies, quality assurance standards, and supply chain optimization techniques.
