Job Description

EPI Power is hiring an Electrical Procurement Engineer/ Electrical Purchaser to join our team in Oklahoma! This role requires the ability to work 6 days per week, Monday - Saturday (58 hours per week). EPI Power, LLC ("EPI") is a licensed electrical contractor and subsidiary of The Weitz Company that specializes in data centers. What You'll Do:
Prepare and issue Requests for Quote (RFQs) based on approved scopes, specifications, and material requirements. Solicit, receive, and evaluate vendor quotations in coordination with procurement and project teams. Create, issue, and manage purchase orders (POs) in accordance with project schedules and budget requirements. Coordinate with vendors and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Track purchase orders, deliveries, and lead times; expedite late or critical items as required. Monitor and resolve incorrect deliveries, shortages, damages, and discrepancies. Coordinate with Accounting/AP to resolve invoice issues, pricing discrepancies, and credits/refunds. Maintain accurate procurement records, logs, and departmental reports. Assist with material inspections, delivery coordination, and site or warehouse support as needed. Collaborate with project teams to support procurement execution throughout the project lifecycle.
What We're Looking For:
Experience :
3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role within a construction or industrial environment. Electrical background is preferred.
Skills :
Strong understanding of purchase order processing, vendor coordination, and material tracking. Ability to interpret material lists, scopes, and basic technical descriptions. Strong communication and follow-up skills with vendors and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues early.
Technology :
Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook Ability and willingness to learn ERP and procurement systems (e.g., JD Edwards, Procore, Kojo, or similar).
