This role is a full time, salaried position that is central to keeping our supply chain running — managing sourcing, supplier performance, cost controls, and procurement activity on a daily basis. Candidates with 3-5 years of purchasing experience and a background in industrial or manufacturing environments are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience purchasing steel tubing is a significant plus. Key Responsibilities Complete purchasing activities to meet quality, delivery, cost, and inventory objectives. Manage sourcing strategies to optimize supplier performance and meet customer requirements. Respond promptly to internal and external requests related to purchasing and procurement. Establish and support continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction and on-time delivery performance. Attend cross-functional meetings and communicate purchasing concerns and improvement ideas clearly. Resolve billing discrepancies and shipping issues with vendors and internal stakeholders. Research products, clarify specifications, and document competitive bidding processes. Maintain accurate purchase order records and procurement documentation.
Qualifications Required:
3-5 years experience as a Buyer or in a relevant supply chain role High School Diploma or GED Proficient computer and typing/keyboarding skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to read and interpret business and procurement documentation Strong reliability — follows instructions, responds to management direction Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred:
Associate's or bachelor's degree Experience purchasing steel tubing or other oilfield materials Familiarity with ERP or procurement software systems Manufacturing or industrial supply chain background Experience with competitive bidding and vendor negotiation Experience managing supplier relationships Physical Requirements Frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. Required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms as part of daily duties.
