Full-Time; Permanent About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Buyer with Epicor Kinetic experience to join our growing Operations team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing procurement, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationships to ensure material availability for a precision equipment manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small, startup-like operations team, where flexibility, ownership, and a hands-on mindset are essential. You'll collaborate cross-functionally and contribute beyond traditional purchasing responsibilities to help build a scalable and high-performing supply chain. What You'll Do Procurement & Sourcing Execute purchase orders in Epicor Kinetic for materials, components, and services Analyze MRP outputs and manage planned orders, reschedules, and exceptions Lead sourcing initiatives, including RFQs, supplier selection, and cost negotiations Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with cost, quality, and delivery goals Create, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts and long-term agreements Monitor and ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions Track open orders and proactively mitigate delivery risks Supplier Management Onboard, qualify, and evaluate suppliers Monitor supplier performance (OTD, quality, responsiveness, cost) Resolve supply issues including shortages, delays, and quality concerns Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships Drive continuous improvement through Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with planning, engineering, production, and quality teams Support new product introductions (NPI) with sourcing and supplier readiness Help resolve material constraints and production bottlenecks Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes Team Support & Operational Flexibility Operate effectively in a small, agile team environment Provide backup support across operations as needed Assist with shipping activities (e.g., FedEx processing, labeling) within ~6 months Contribute to a collaborative, execution-focused culture What We're Looking For Required 3+ years of buying/procurement experience in manufacturing Experience with Epicor Kinetic or similar ERP systems Strong understanding of MRP, supply planning, and inventory control Background in sourcing, supplier onboarding, and contract management Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business systems Preferred Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience in capital equipment or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing
APICS / ASCM
certification (CPIM, CSCP) Proven track record in cost reduction and sourcing initiatives Familiarity with shipping systems (FedEx, UPS) Key Strengths Strategic sourcing and analytical thinking Strong negotiation and contract management skills Supplier relationship management expertise Attention to detail and data accuracy Proactive problem-solving mindset Strong communication and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
