Job Description
Company Overview White Oak Mills is a regional feed manufacturer of high-quality swine, dairy and poultry feeds based in Elizabethtown, Lancaster County, PA. Overview White Oak Mills is seeking a Full-Time Purchaser . This is an ON-SITE position and candidate will be required to work in our Elizabethtown, PA office full-time during regular business hours; remote work is not available. Key Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and purchase ingredients necessary for efficient feed mill operations.
- Manage ingredient inventory levels and coordinate purchases to maintain production schedules.
- Monitor market trends, commodity prices and supply availability.
- Have strong negotiating skills to negotiate pricing, contracts and delivery terms with suppliers.
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, resolve supply issues and discrepancies promptly, and coordinate in-house bulk commodity haulers for timely ingredient deliveries.
- Work closely with production, quality assurance, accounting and sales teams to ensure accurate purchasing and inventory records.
- Review invoices, purchase orders and receiving documentation for accuracy.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cost management initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, feed safety standards and regulatory requirements.
