Job Description
Hersheypark amusement park spans 121-acres, and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park. The MRO Buyer assists with managing inventory and procurement systems in support of the Hersheypark maintenance operation. This role is responsible for competitive purchasing of all MRO goods, services, and orders to ensure the quality and continuity of supply while minimizing total costs. Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position): Review purchase requisitions for accuracy, pricing, suppliers, and delivery dates, as well as ensure all product quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team in expediting deliveries to meet operational requirements and to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Lead supplier bidding processes and negotiations by implementing strategies that consistently strive for improvements in supplier quality, cost, and service.
- Resolve procurement issues with suppliers proactively, including communicating and handling the disposition of non-conforming goods or services.
- Recommend refinements to the overall procurement process to develop efficient and cost effective practices. Identify opportunities to implement cost savings measures that create value, lower the cost of goods purchased, and track results.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of related experience. Industry Experience- Manufacturing Industry Experience
- Construction/Maintenance 18 years of age or older. Must have a valid Driver's License Bachelor's degree
- Business Administration, Information Management, Organizational Management, Financial Management, Sales, and Marketing Relevant work experience can be substituted for education
- 7 years
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Industry Experience- Amusement Park Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
