The impact you'll make At Lam, as a Buyer, you play a pivotal role in our procurement process. You analyze purchase requirements and coordinate purchasing activities across departments to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of inventory. You'll support processing purchase requisitions, change orders, and quotes (RFQs) from suppliers. Engaging in cost analysis and volume planning within our enterprise-wide systems (ERPs), you negotiate for the best value and explore new supply sources for cost-saving. Your expertise ensures Lam's procurement remains efficient and competitive on a global scale. What you'll do Review, analyze and process purchase requisitions and quotations for materials, components, capital equipment and services. Manage purchase orders and changes based on demand. Understand, maintain, and report weekly KPI's. Maintain records of suppliers, materials, prices, delivery dates and inventories. Manage purchase order (PO) releases to meet demand requirements. Build key supplier relationships to review open action items, performance, demand forecast, and cost reductions. Who we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field with 2+ years of experience; or equivalent experience. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel,). Working knowledge or experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other procurement related tools. Communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. This is a graduate eligible role. Preferred qualifications Experience in the semiconductor industry or other high-tech industries. Foundational understanding of commodity market indicators and technical data. Excellent negotiation skills to achieve best value pricing.
