Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to support day-to-day purchasing operations. This role is execution-focused and ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment managing purchase orders, inventory, and supplier communications. This position does not involve strategic sourcing or contract negotiations but plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient operational purchasing. Key Responsibilities Prepare, create, and manage purchase orders (POs) and quotes Process updates and changes to existing purchase orders Monitor order status and expedite shipments as needed Reorder materials and manage inventory levels using MRP systems Review reports to identify reorder needs and maintain stock levels Communicate with vendors via phone and email regarding: Order status Changes Issues or delays Support engineering changes, supplier issues, and returns Ensure accuracy of documentation, pricing, and order tracking Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support operational needs Required Qualifications 1+ year of purchasing or procurement experience Strong understanding of purchase orders, inventory management, and reordering processes Experience working with ERP systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable communicating with vendors via phone and email Preferred Qualifications 2-4 years of purchasing experience Experience in MRO or operational purchasing (a plus, not required) Strong multitasking and prioritization skills Adaptable, proactive, and team-oriented mindset Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
