Bill Rate:
  • This position is NonExempt.
Responsible for purchasing and managing materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of experience in the field is strongly preferred. If no bachelor's degree, candidate would need 5+ years of experience in the field. . Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. High School diploma required. BS degree preferred.
Additional JP Notes:
  • Direct Materials purchasing role (direct materials purchasing experience required (2-3+ years)
  • Onsite 4 days in Plymouth
  • 1 day remote
  • ERP experience required (SAP is what Client uses)
  • Med Device experience highly preferred
  • ERP system, review pricing and lead times, issue POs, update ERP systems, address invoice issues, participate in weekly status reviews for inventory levels, take actions as needed with suppliers to maintain inventory target levels, may need to update master data in the systems (refresh lead times, quantities, etc.)
  • MS Office experience required
  • No supervisory experience need
  • will not be a supervisory role
  • BS degree preferred, HS Diploma okay as long as they have extensive professional experience.
  • Reliability and dependability
  • once trained, able to work independently
  • Purchasing mix of supporting raw material, electronics, plastic tubing, labels, etc.
  • Some possible negotiation on pricing, but primarily managing purchase orders, executing constraints, reviewing purchase reqs, cutting POs, etc.
  • Cross functional communication and collaboration
  • will be working with many teams Top 5 Skills desired are: 1. Direct Buyer experience 2. SAP/ERP experience 3. Reliable / ability to execute tasks with minimal supervision 4. Ability to lead and collaborate with cross functional groups 5. Proactive
  • ability to anticipate needs and take action accordingly
