Procurement SpecialistJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to cover a maternity leave until mid-August. The role involves leading and managing sourcing strategies within defined categories, engaging with senior stakeholders, and providing procurement advice to business areas. Responsibilities + Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and define category strategy plans. + Implement sourcing processes for goods and services. + Maintain a comprehensive understanding of business drivers and their impact on strategy. + Serve as a subject matter expert on procurement policies, processes, and best practices. + Manage key sourcing activities for business projects, ensuring timely delivery and risk management. + Develop and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers and identify potential new partners. + Monitor compliance with the sourcing process and act as an internal consultant. + Develop category or sub-category strategy plans and sourcing pipelines. Essential Skills + Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. + Strong analytical and decision-making skills. + Understanding of procurement and sourcing techniques and supply chain management. + Experience in procurement or purchasing. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field. + Experience with supplier performance management and vendor management. + Experience in drafting agreements and managing contract renewals. + Microsoft Office proficiency. + Experience with facilities service related systems or Jaggaer is a plus. Work Environment This position operates Monday through Friday, with hours from either 8 AM to 5 PM or 7 AM to 4 PM, depending on the candidate's timezone. Preference is given to candidates in Central or Eastern time zones. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00
