Job Description
Position Overview Ensure the supply chain needs of Burlington are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. Review costs, develop relationships with vendors and business stakeholders, and offer suggestions for where to buy. Work closely with Procurement Manager on variety of tasks to drive procurement best practices.
A Day In The Life Procurement Operations:
Review departmental requests and select the appropriate procurement method. Assist Procurement manager by providing market information for tactical and strategic planning. Assist key stakeholders with vendor selection, management and performance. Perform sourcing, liaising and negotiating with new and existing suppliers to improve business. Implement procurement processes to ensure efficiency, cost savings, and best practices. Run and analyze reports to capture and publish spend patterns and compliance metrics. Provide inputs on vendor performance and assist in developing vendor scorecards. Assist the field team with order tracking, discrepancies, and returns. Reconcile and validate EDI rejection reports to resolve any issues with invoices. Provide updates for future bag ordinances to ensure business is complying. Perform other duties as assigned.Sourcing:
Identify business needs through spend analytics and demand forecast management for large spend categories such as, Store Supplies, back of house equipment, ad-hoc requests from the business. Analyze spending and align with the business on the objectives, strategy, and requirements, create and execute RFIs/RFPs to drive improvements through cost optimization, and process improvements. Identify and pre-qualify suppliers of goods and services through the approved vendor due diligence process. Negotiate terms and conditions including but not limited: pricing, quality of goods, ship dates, etc. for the assigned categories which may vary from time to time.Other Procurement and Business Activities:
Performs business critical functions on a project basis as required, supporting all areas of the business to ensure successful implementation of new processes. Maintain effective communications with existing vendors to ensure consistent support to the business. Ensure the execution of the procurement plan for assigned categories.You'll Come With Qualifications:
Extensive experience of developing business specific contracts and agreements.Education:
Two-year degree or equivalent to four years of experienceExperience:
Purchase of materials and supplies, contract negotiations, inventory management, developing business specific agreements.Skills and Abilities:
Microsoft Office applications, Oracle Strong math, analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Detail-oriented team player, possessing negotiation skills and the ability to work independently and to own the process. Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working with a diverse number of people, such as executives, suppliers, vendors, and supply chain managers. Assess costs and negotiate vendor and supply prices Analyze business supply needs and ensure businesses are getting the best possible cost and quality Manage inventory and order supplies and materials as needed Resolve pricing conflicts and place bids with different vendors as required #LI-ED2 Come join our team.
