Purchasing Agent

Norwood Sales is a fast-growing agricultural manufacturing company, and we're looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent who wants to own their categories, build strong supplier relationships, and keep production running smoothly. In this role, you won't just place orders—you'll negotiate, problem-solve, and play a key part in making sure farmers get the equipment they rely on. Key Responsibilities Negotiate with vendors for goods and services, securing the best possible pricing, quality, and service. Develop new and alternative supply sources when existing vendors are not meeting cost, quality, or delivery expectations. Review bids/quotes and make award decisions in line with company goals. Establish account/credit and payment terms with new suppliers. Set up and manage blanket purchase orders and monitor costs over the term. Work closely with the receiving department to ensure correct and timely deliveries. Track, trace, and resolve delinquent or late arrivals from purchase orders. Perform other related duties as needed; responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice. What You'll Bring High school diploma or equivalent (required). 3+ years of purchasing experience (required). 2+ years of manufacturing experience (preferred). Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to build and maintain vendor relationships. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment and collaborating across departments. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to learn the ins and outs of our ERP/MRP Systems.

$80,000

• $100,000 per year, depending on experience.
