This is a part-time position ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, experience with Microsoft applications, and an interest in technology and business operations. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for assisting with the purchasing of technology equipment, materials, supplies, and services while working closely with project managers, technicians, vendors, distributors, and customers. The ideal candidate is comfortable comparing pricing, requesting quotes, placing and tracking orders, maintaining accurate purchasing records, and communicating with vendors to ensure products and materials are available when needed. This position is 5 days per week, approximately 20 hours per week , with a standard schedule of 4:00 PM-8:00 PM . Wingman offers flexibility with scheduling for the right candidate. Responsibilities Purchasing and operational responsibilities may include: Researching and purchasing technology equipment, hardware, software, materials, and office supplies Requesting and comparing vendor quotes, pricing, availability, and lead times Creating, processing, and tracking purchase orders Communicating with vendors, distributors, manufacturers, and suppliers Tracking orders from placement through delivery Following up on delayed, backordered, or incorrect shipments Confirming products, quantities, pricing, and shipping information before orders are placed Maintaining accurate purchasing records and documentation Assisting project managers and technicians in identifying required equipment and materials for projects Coordinating purchasing activities based on project schedules and deadlines Researching alternative products or vendors when items are unavailable or outside of budget Monitoring inventory levels and identifying items that need to be replenished Maintaining vendor information, pricing records, and product information Reviewing invoices and purchase orders for accuracy Assisting with returns, replacements, warranties, and vendor credits Entering purchasing information into spreadsheets, databases, and internal systems Maintaining organized digital files for quotes, purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and order confirmations Assisting with estimates and cost information for upcoming projects Communicating order updates and potential delays to project managers and internal team members Supporting general administrative and operational needs related to purchasing Technology & Microsoft Experience The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with technology and learning new software platforms. Experience with the following is preferred: Microsoft 365 Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Excel Microsoft Word Microsoft Teams Microsoft Azure Cloud-based applications and services Online vendor and purchasing platforms Inventory and order-tracking systems File management and document organization Strong Excel skills are particularly valuable for maintaining pricing information, tracking orders, managing purchasing records, and comparing vendor quotes. Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus, but candidates who demonstrate strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Work Location:
In Person Qualifications Purchasing, procurement, administrative, office, customer service, or related experience preferred Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 Strong Microsoft Excel skills preferred Experience communicating with vendors or suppliers is a plus Experience creating or managing purchase orders is a plus Experience comparing quotes, pricing, or product specifications is a plus Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud technologies is a plus Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to manage multiple orders, projects, and deadlines Comfortable learning new software, technology, and purchasing platforms Reliable and professional work ethic Why Work at Wingman Technology?
