Job Description

[Job Description] A large reputable utility company in Bothell, WA is currently hiring for a Procurement Analyst (Procurement Intake Request Facilitator). This temporary role supports the Procurement COE (Center of Excellence) by mapping and segmenting the supply base and delivering category market intelligence that strengthens sourcing decisions, supplier engagement, and contract modernization. The position is expected to spend approximately 50% of its time serving as the Procurement Intake Request Facilitator and 50% supporting Supplier Development, Supplier Intelligence, and Center of Excellence (COE) / Supplier Engagement Initiatives. The role includes coordinating procurement purchase request intake, reviewing vendor proposals and business requirement documents (BRDs), and partnering with several approver groups to route requests efficiently, improve alignment, and support timely decisions. This role is responsible for helping ensure requests are accurately submitted and routed to the appropriate review teams, including information security, cyber security, compliance, gas lines, and safety, based on the nature of the request, supplier status, and risk profile.   • 6-Month Contract To Start (Possibility for Extension or Conversion) [ Responsibilities] Architects and maintains a structured supplier engagement framework, including: Supplier segmentation models.
Preferred Supplier Model. Performance KPIs and scorecards. Governance cadences and escalation paths. Continuous improvement and development plans. Implements scalable supplier programs across categories of spend while balancing risk, compliance, operational constraints, and business priorities. Owns the enterprise supplier engagement roadmap and serves as the primary point of accountability for program effectiveness and results. Presents data-driven recommendations to sr. stakeholders, securing alignment and navigating resistance when required. Supplier Development & Opportunity Pipeline
  • 10% Identifies, qualifies, and develops current and future suppliers to meet evolving business and operational needs.
Identifies opportunity, model definition, and procurement approach for alliance model relationships with core supplier to drive long-term strategic value. [Qualification Requirements] 3+ years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, supplier management, market research, and/or analytics. Strong research, synthesis, and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn data into decisions. Ability to build structured deliverables such as category workbooks, supplier profiles, and dashboards. Knowledge of supplier governance structures, KPIs, and continuous improvement practices. Comfort with supplier segmentation, benchmarking, and market and technology scanning. Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners. [ Nice To Haves ] Experience supporting RFP and RFQ processes, contract or SLA development, technology or services categories, and COE or shared services environments. PMP or other relevant Project Management Certification. SAP/Ariba. Comfortable submitting to a drug test (including THC) upon onboarding.
