This position requires a strong combination of indirect procurement and technology sourcing experience , with particular emphasis on complex contract negotiations, software and technology agreements, strategic vendor management, and cross-functional stakeholder partnership. The ideal candidate will have experience sourcing and negotiating agreements for areas such as enterprise software, SaaS, IT services, hardware, cloud solutions, licensing, and other technology products and services . This individual will partner closely with Technology, Legal, Finance, and business leadership to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate favorable commercial terms, manage supplier relationships, and identify opportunities to reduce cost and risk. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for technology-related products and services. Lead sourcing initiatives from requirements gathering and market analysis through RFP/RFI, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, and implementation. Partner with IT, Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business needs into effective sourcing strategies. Lead negotiations for complex, high-value technology agreements, including: Master Service Agreements (MSAs) Statements of Work (SOWs) Software and SaaS licensing agreements Service-level agreements (SLAs) Intellectual property and technology-related agreements Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, licensing structures, service levels, renewals, and other contractual provisions. Review and interpret technology and software agreements, identifying potential commercial, operational, and contractual risks. Manage strategic supplier relationships, including vendor performance, contract compliance, escalations, disputes, renewals, and value realization. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand technology trends, supplier capabilities, pricing models, and sourcing opportunities. Identify and deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, risk reduction, and process improvement opportunities. Develop total-cost-of-ownership and financial analyses to support sourcing recommendations. Manage multiple complex sourcing initiatives, contracts, renewals, and stakeholder priorities simultaneously. Present sourcing strategies, recommendations, risks, and negotiation outcomes to senior leadership. Provide guidance and mentoring to sourcing team members and business partners regarding procurement processes and best practices. Support continuous improvement of procurement policies, processes, tools, and sourcing methodologies. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 8+ years of progressive experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or related functions. Demonstrated technology/IT sourcing experience in addition to broader indirect procurement experience. Experience sourcing and negotiating technology products and services such as software, SaaS, IT services, cloud solutions, hardware, licensing, or related categories. Strong experience negotiating complex, high-value contracts and enterprise agreements. Hands-on experience with MSAs, SOWs, software licensing agreements, and other technology-related contracts. Experience leading RFP/RFI and competitive sourcing processes. Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier management, and procurement best practices. Ability to read, interpret, and negotiate complex technology and software agreements. Demonstrated success identifying cost savings and improving commercial and contractual terms. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously. Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to influence senior business and technology leaders and work effectively across IT, Legal, Finance, and other functions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with enterprise software licensing, SaaS agreements, cloud services, IT professional services, or other complex technology categories. Knowledge of intellectual property, software licensing structures, and technology contract terms. Experience with procurement, ERP, contract lifecycle management, and vendor management systems. Experience with platforms such as PeopleSoft, Basware, Ivanti, or similar systems. Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio skills. Experience with Teams, Slack, or similar collaboration platforms. Experience coaching, mentoring, or providing leadership to other sourcing or procurement professionals.
