Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Site Sourcing Specialist - Onsite position with a Global Manufacturing Company located in Duncan, SC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
Compensation:
Up to $40.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview:
This position serves as the primary interface between our client's Duncan, SC site and the regional commodity teams, acting as the first point of escalation for supplier-related supply chain issues. The specialist will lead or participate in special projects related to sourcing, such as managing site-specific commodities, documentation, resourcing activities, and supplier rationalization in a project-oriented, low-volume, high-mix production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor direct material variances to inform finance and bid and proposal teams Enter and maintain sourcing rules/parameters in the ERP system Participate in identifying productivity actions with site sourcing management and bring back information to the regional commodity teams Provide inputs on site needs through frequent contact with users Obtain samples and coordinate
APQP/PPAP
qualification process with quality and engineering Assist in material changeover activities when supplier resourcing or rationalization is done Provide site level documentation to the regional commodity teams (e.g., engineering drawings, specifications, quality requirements, etc.) Be the first level escalation point to assist the Supply Chain Group with supplier related issues Manage invoice discrepancies, engineering change requests, claims and chargebacks Manage site-specific commodities and services when assigned that may involve RFI/RFQ and supplier qualification activities
Primary Requirements:
High school graduate or General Education Degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Economics or Finance preferred Three to five years of manufacturing, transportation or heavy construction industry experience Two to four years of purchasing experience Ability to work unsupervised and manage cross-functional teams Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues and create solutions Familiarity with the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), import and export laws, incoterms, and methodologies used in project management, material planning, and quality Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Familiarity with large ERP systems (Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, Baan) and report out tools (Crystal reports, Power BI) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple issues at once Ability to work in an
