They are looking for you, an experienced Purchasing Agent, to support cost management across assigned communities. This is a direct hire opportunity offering strong visibility and impact within the organization.
What you get to do:
Build and maintain relationships with trade partners and subcontractors
Generate and review purchase orders for new home starts
Ensure accuracy of job starts, plans, and documentation prior to release
Coordinate and manage bid processes for new communities
Review plans, scopes-of-work, and specifications for accuracy
Analyze base costs and option pricing, especially for new developments
Resolve vendor disputes, including pricing, product, and contract discrepancies
Re-bid vendor contracts as needed and manage contract documentation
Support change orders, pricing updates, and purchasing-related adjustments
Enter and manage bid data within internal systems (including KOVA)
Provide ongoing purchasing support and assist with special projects
What you need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in residential construction purchasing, estimating, or related field
Strong understanding of cost management, bidding, and vendor relationships
Ability to review plans, contracts, and construction documentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with KOVA is preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
