Full-time About Apex Service Partners Apex Service Partners is a leading residential home services organization specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical solutions. Across the Southeast, our teams support local brands and operating companies with the scale, resources, and expertise needed to deliver outstanding service and sustainable growth. The Opportunity The Market Area Procurement Specialist is the local execution arm of Regional Procurement. Reporting to the Regional Director of Procurement, with a dotted-line partnership to Market Area leadership, this role works directly with suppliers, warehouse teams, field operations, and local leaders to improve purchasing discipline, inventory performance, supplier accountability, and cost efficiency. This is not a traditional purchasing desk role. The successful candidate will spend time in the field, identify breakdowns, solve problems, and translate regional and national procurement strategies into consistent local execution. Key Responsibilities Supplier Performance and Cost Control Build productive supplier relationships while holding vendors accountable to negotiated pricing, service levels, and program requirements. Conduct supplier, invoice, cost, and counter-visit audits; identify pricing discrepancies and pursue timely corrective action and credits. Validate rebate performance, contract utilization, and supplier compliance; escalate recurring issues with clear supporting data. Represent assigned markets in supplier reviews, procurement discussions, and local negotiations within established authority. Inventory and Warehouse Optimization Lead warehouse and inventory reviews, including ABC analysis, cycle-count discipline, min/max settings, stockout risk, excess inventory, and obsolete material. Partner with operations to optimize warehouse and technician truck stock around demand, service levels, and working-capital goals. Support and monitor vendor-managed inventory and consignment programs, including controls, reconciliation, and performance reporting. Improve material availability while reducing emergency purchases, outside spend, duplication, and unnecessary inventory investment. Procurement Execution and Compliance Implement regional and national procurement programs with local market teams and ensure requirements are understood, adopted, and sustained. Drive purchasing process adherence, approved-vendor utilization, purchase-order discipline, and Coupa adoption. Train and support local users, resolve workflow issues, and identify root causes behind noncompliant or inefficient purchasing activity. Partner closely with Market Area Presidents, General Managers, warehouse leaders, service leaders, accounting, and field teams. M&A Integration and Continuous Improvement Execute procurement components of 100-day M&A plans, including supplier conversion, price-book and material implementation, purchasing controls, and inventory alignment. Assess acquired-company spend, vendors, inventory practices, and process gaps; establish action plans with measurable milestones. Identify and deliver local sourcing, standardization, savings, cost-avoidance, and credit-recovery opportunities. Maintain accurate savings pipelines, implementation updates, issue logs, and performance reporting for regional and market leadership. Qualifications 3+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory, distribution, warehouse operations, or a closely related field. Demonstrated ability to analyze spend, pricing, inventory, and operational data and convert findings into practical action. Strong supplier-management, negotiation, problem-solving, and follow-through skills. Advanced Excel capability; experience with Coupa, ServiceTitan, Power BI, or similar platforms is preferred. Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority and communicate effectively with field teams, suppliers, and senior leaders. Hands-on, detail-oriented approach with the confidence to challenge gaps professionally and respectfully. Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, home services, construction, or distribution is strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered. Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned market area, with increased travel during integrations and major implementations. C ompensation and Benefits Target total compensation: $90,000-$115,000 (base + bonus). Final compensation will be based on experience, geography, and assigned scope. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and a company-provided fleet or rental vehicle for required travel. Why This Role Matters Procurement performance is won or lost through local execution. This role gives each market a dedicated owner who can connect strategy to operations, protect negotiated value, improve inventory health, support growth, and create measurable financial impact. The ideal candidate will become the trusted local procurement resource for both market leadership and frontline teams.Posted Max Pay Rate:
