Job Description

Procurement Coordinator The Procurement Coordinator composes, organizes and places orders with overseas vendors along with maintaining a focus on inventory performance and planning. Additionally coordinate international logistics operations between overseas vendors and System Component SY.
Work Environment:
Works primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential
Physical Demands:
Ability to be punctual and attend work on a regular and consistent basis Occasionally will be expected to lift large materials not to exceed 40 pounds
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, Logistics, or related field 3-5 years' experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Logistics or related field Department Distribution Center Operations Employment Type Full Time Location Farmers Branch, TX Workplace type Onsite Reporting To Zach Vickers How You Will Help Review and organize planned purchase orders on a weekly basis to generate lists of material that need to be ordered Organize orders by vendor and optimal utilization of available container space Optimize orders with the vendor's production schedule and expediate material within the production schedule as needed. Review order quantities to ensure accuracy and contributing data is of sound standing. Coordinate defective claims with overseas vendors Enter and place orders with vendors including confirming shipping instructions for the order on a weekly basis and log the orders details in the logistics log. Identify and resolve discrepancies on purchase orders; coordinate resolution with SY Operations Supervisor. Monitor inventory performance metrics such as days of inventory, service level, and inventory turns. Organize samples from overseas vendors as needed. Coordinate delivery of containers with the SY warehouse as well as providing a packing list and supporting documents. Provide estimated lead times on back-ordered material to internal customers and expedite material as needed. Coordinate foreign to foreign blind FOB shipments with international sales team. Maintain weekly reports for departmental staff meeting Proactively manage document coordination between forwarders, brokers, vendors, and customers Review documents to verify accuracy and identify any discrepancies, including invoices for approval Review freight invoices for discrepancies and/or follow up with forwarders on questionable/unclear charges. Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, and equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Maintain vigilance for any hazardous conditions or practices in the workplace and immediately report any unsafe condition or practice to your supervisor. Performs other duties as directed

Knowledge of Incoterms Skills:
Knowledge of core principles of inventory management and/or procurement Proficient in Microsoft Office, AS400, or D365. Proficiency in Excel pivot tables desired. Knowledge of basic principles of data analysis such as weighted averages, standard deviation, frequency tables and etc. are optimal.
