Job Description & Responsibilities:

Manage several product categories with the goal of growing category sales.

This individual will:

Analyze historical sales data and adjust inventory reorder points to meet demand and minimize stockouts on new and existing products Select products and brands to be offered in various outdoor categories Build both ASAP and pre-season purchase orders Identify assortment gaps and onboard new brands and products to fill that space Maintain positive vendor relationships and resolve vendor issues as they arise Negotiate terms and discounts with vendors Create new SKU's and write product descriptions Set pricing strategy across all vendors Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing departments to educate them on new brands and products

Qualifications:

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Skills/Knowledge:

Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook (Experience with Vlookups and Pivot Tables in Excel a plus) Solid understanding of retail math Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Passion for the outdoors and familiarity with outdoor equipment and its usage
