$20.00-$25.00 per hourSchedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | 1-hour lunch Chemsolv, Inc. is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Roanoke, VA. This position is responsible for purchasing products efficiently and accurately while ensuring orders are placed, received, and processed in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong computer and database skills, along with the ability to build positive working relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Verify, prepare, and submit purchase orders to appropriate vendors in a timely manner. Monitor purchase orders and resolve issues related to products, pricing, or delivery. Expedite orders when needed to meet customer and operational requirements. Coordinate and track freight and logistics, including monitoring product movement in collaboration with Operations. Assist with sourcing and identifying suppliers for products. Work with the Purchasing Team and suppliers to resolve billing discrepancies. Communicate with vendors to address quality and delivery issues and follow up on corrective actions. Assist the Materials Manager and Purchasing Team with inventory management activities. Support pricing processes in collaboration with suppliers and Product Managers. Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure information is properly entered and updated in company systems. Provide support to the Purchasing Team and other departments as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Strong computer skills and ability to work with database and purchasing software. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors, customers, and internal teams.Preferred:
2 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the commodity or chemical industry. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
