Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Analyst for a contract opportunity in Woodbridge, VA. This role supports public sector procurement operations by ensuring purchasing activities are compliant, efficient, accurate, and aligned with organizational requirements. The Procurement Analyst will work closely with internal departments, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to support contract negotiations, purchasing reviews, bid preparation, vendor evaluation, and procurement documentation. Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate contracts and serve as a liaison between internal departments, vendors, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Review and approve purchasing requisitions and purchase orders to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare bid invitations, requests for proposals, contract documents, procurement reports, and related documentation.
- Analyze bids and proposals, evaluate vendor responses, and recommend successful vendors or contractors.
- Review contract documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procurement requirements.
- Maintain stakeholder communication and assist in resolving procurement-related questions, concerns, or disputes. Compensation and Benefits

Location:
Woodbridge, VA. Required Qualifications and Skills- Support procurement operations, contract negotiation, purchasing review, and vendor coordination.
- Prepare and review bid documents, requests for proposals, purchase orders, requisitions, and contract documentation.
- Analyze bids and vendor submissions to support award recommendations and procurement decisions.
- Maintain compliance with public procurement policies, codes, regulations, and contract administration requirements.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience in procurement, purchasing, contract administration, or a similar field.
- Strong knowledge of public procurement principles, contract administration, purchasing procedures, and budgetary practices.
- Proficiency with research methods, computer systems, office software, and procurement-related documentation.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to review detailed documents, resolve procurement issues, and maintain accuracy in a compliance-focused environment.
- Ability to occasionally assign or delegate work and provide instruction on work methods and procedures.
- Ability to perform primarily sedentary work with occasional standing, walking, and light lifting up to 10 pounds.
- No special certifications are required. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting procurement activities in a government, public sector, or highly regulated environment.
- Familiarity with bid evaluation, RFP preparation, purchase order review, and vendor dispute resolution.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, vendors, contractors, and department-level stakeholders.
