Buyer III Job Description The Buyer III supports a dynamic buying team by expanding product selection, setting up new vendors and items, maintaining the product catalog, and managing pricing. This role focuses on new product launches and coordination, vendor relations, and accurate maintenance of product cost, retail price, content, and images. The Buyer III also provides support and training as a backup to the Control Buyer and contributes to special projects within a fast-paced, growing environment. Responsibilities + Assist the buying team in expanding product selection by identifying and onboarding new vendors and setting up new items in the product catalog. + Maintain the product catalog with accurate and up-to-date information, including product cost, retail pricing, content descriptions, and images. + Coordinate new product launches from initial setup through go-live, ensuring all data, pricing, and vendor details are correct and complete. + Manage vendor relationships, including handling vendor communications, supporting vendor management activities, and maintaining non-disclosure agreements. + Support procurement and sourcing activities such as requests for proposals (RFPs), pricing analysis, and vendor evaluation. + Use ERP and planning tools to support purchasing, production planning, and supply chain coordination. + Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and vendor interactions in a highly demanding environment while maintaining strong attention to detail. + Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a collegial, team-oriented setting to achieve business and operational goals. Essential Skills + 3-5 years of buying experience, with a focus on purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations. + Experience with procurement and sourcing processes, including RFPs, vendor management, and pricing analysis. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple vendors and non-disclosure agreements simultaneously. + Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors. + Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint. + Understanding of data management and databases to support accurate product catalog maintenance. + Experience with purchasing, purchase orders, and buyer responsibilities within a supply chain environment. Work Environment This position is fully onsite and based at one of the following locations: Bellevue, WA; North Reading, MA; or Austin, TX. The role operates during regular business hours, with some overtime expected based on business needs and project demands. The work environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, with a growing team focused on operational excellence in purchasing and supply chain. The setting is professional and office-based, with regular use of computers, ERP systems, and productivity tools. There is potential for conversion or extension of the assignment depending on business needs and individual performance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $53.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
