Job Description

Everett Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Agent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for our custom machining and fabrication projects. You will work closely with vendors and internal departments to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing aligned with project needs. This is an on-site position based in Everett, WA, offering an opportunity to contribute to a well-established and growing company. Responsibilities Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. Prepare and issue purchase orders in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information. Collaborate with project managers and production teams to understand material requirements and timelines. Track orders and coordinate delivery to meet project schedules. Negotiate terms and pricing with vendors to optimize procurement costs. Manage inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary. Resolve purchase discrepancies and issues with suppliers. Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field a plus. 2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Proficiency in using procurement software and MS Office applications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles. Ability to work collaboratively across departments. Problem-solving skills and ability to handle purchasing challenges proactively. Experience working with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality standards.
