Director of Acute Care Kennewick, WA 99336 $66.04 - $89.16 an hour - Full-time $66.04 - $89.16 an hour - Full-time Job Summary Homeland Talent Solutions has partnered with a respected healthcare organization to identify a strong nursing leader for a Director of Acute Care opportunity supporting a combined ICU and Intermediate Care/Step-Down unit within a collaborative acute care environment. This highly visible leadership role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence, support department growth, enhance patient care outcomes, and lead staff development initiatives within a dynamic hospital setting. The Director of Acute Care will provide both operational and clinical leadership oversight for the ICU and Intermediate Care/Step-Down unit while collaborating closely with executive leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to promote patient care excellence, staff engagement, and organizational performance. The Director of Acute Care will play a key role in staffing management, process improvement, quality initiatives, and future growth planning for the department. The ideal candidate for the Director of Acute Care role will bring a strong ICU clinical background, progressive nursing leadership experience, and proven operational management abilities. This leader will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate the ability to effectively lead teams through change while fostering a positive, patient-focused culture. Responsibilities Provide operational and clinical leadership oversight for the ICU and Intermediate Care/Step-Down unit Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff and frontline clinical teams Support staffing, productivity, labor management, and operational efficiency initiatives Assist with department growth, workflow optimization, and staff cross-training initiatives Foster a culture focused on teamwork, accountability, patient-centered care, and clinical excellence Partner with physicians, executive leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient outcomes Support regulatory compliance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based clinical practices Participate in leadership meetings and organizational initiatives while maintaining visibility within the department Support staff engagement and collaboration within a unionized nursing environment Requirements Current RN license required Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred Strong ICU clinical background required Previous acute care, ICU, or hospital leadership experience preferred Experience within high-acuity acute care or critical care environments preferred Strong operational leadership, staffing, and labor management skills required Experience within unionized healthcare environments preferred BLS certification required Strong communication and team development skills required Additional Information Full-Time Day Shift Exempt Leadership Position On-Site Benefits This opportunity offers a competitive pay range of $66.04-$89.16/hour based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support both personal and professional growth.
