A Commodities or Manufacturing Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing the commodities needed for ongoing or future production in a manufacturing process. Responsible for maintaining supplier relationships. May also be responsible growing supplier relationships with new and/or existing suppliers.
Job Summary Utility Sales & Service is a rapidly growing manufacturer and service provider of custom-made trucks in Appleton, WI. With our continued growth we are looking to add a Buyer to our team. The successful candidate will lead the execution of Supply Chain strategic and tactical initiatives for our organization. We are seeking an individual who has a strong supply chain background, is enthusiastic, and has a strong desire to succeed in a team environment! Buyer Responsibilities:
Manage sourcing and procurement for multiple company locations to support manufacturing, service, and parts sales operations. Collaborate with inside sales team to receive and inspect all major components to verify conformance to specifications. Maintain accurate and timely supply chain data within the ERP system. Apply Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles when making sourcing and supplier decisions. Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Service, Sales, and Rental teams to drive cost-saving and product improvement initiatives. Resolve supplier delivery and quality issues to support production, service, sales, and rental needs Perform other related duties as assigned for this Buyer role. Qualifications for
Buyer:
Associate's degree in supply chain or 1-5 years of experience in supply chain or a related technical role such as application engineer, inside sales for manufacturing company, or specification management roles. Ability to read and interpret complex technical documents, including specifications, drawings, and schematics. Strong organization and time management skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Experience in a make-to-order manufacturing environment, preferably in the heavy truck industry. Computer experience in a Windows environment is a must. This includes intermediate experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience in a major ERP System is a plus. Positive attitude and a collaborative mindset. Hours for

First shift, M-F. This position offers a flexible start time where you can start anytime between 6am-7:30am, as long as it is the same start time each day. Salary for
