This role partners with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain to source production materials, negotiate supplier agreements, manage RFQs, and ensure reliable product availability. Requirements of the Sourcing Specialist Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience managing supplier RFQs, sourcing initiatives, and contract negotiations. Strong knowledge of supplier development, vendor management, and supplier performance metrics. Experience negotiating pricing, lead times, freight costs, payment terms, and supplier agreements. Ability to analyze supplier quotes, cost models, and purchasing data to support sourcing decisions. Experience interpreting engineering drawings, part specifications, and technical documentation preferred. Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while building strong cross-functional and supplier relationships. Responsibilities of the Sourcing Specialist Develop and implement sourcing strategies that improve supplier performance, quality, cost, and delivery. Prepare, issue, and evaluate RFQs for production components, tooling, prototypes, and new product launches. Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, freight costs, lead times, and supplier agreements. Identify, qualify, onboard, and manage supplier relationships while expanding the supplier network as needed. Analyze supplier quotes, develop cost models, and monitor purchase price variance (PPV) to identify cost-saving opportunities. Create and manage purchase orders for production tooling and pre-production materials while maintaining accurate ERP data. Monitor supplier performance and collaborate with Quality to resolve supplier issues and implement corrective actions. Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sales, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to support production requirements and new product development. Conduct supplier visits, support audits, identify supply chain risks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
