Key Responsibilities:
Track aging dates, shelf life, and storage conditions to ensure freshness and compliance. Coordinate inbound shipments and delivery schedules in line with production orders Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders. Collaborate with warehouse and logistics Stay updated on market trends and seasonal availability Track purchase orders and delivery confirmations. Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines. Resolve supply chain issues as they arise with quick, effective solutions and any issues related to deliveries, product quality, or vendor compliance.Qualifications:
- Experience in food procurement, ideally within the dairy or specialty cheese industry.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, cold chain logistics, and import regulations (if applicable).
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement software.
- Passion for cheese and a strong understanding of cheese types, aging, and handling is a major plus
- Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset This position is full time, in person, Monday--Friday with occasional weekend availability.
